Gerard Kirt - Gerard graduated with a BA in Industrial Design Engineering and spent 16 years with Baker Perkins (now APV) initially designing equipment and systems for food production and packaging, and subsequently in a direct sales role.  As Sales & Business Development Manager for High-Speed Packaging Systems, clients included Danone, Cadbury, Braumuller and Unilever.  Joining CEL International in 1993, Gerard remained in a sales role with responsibility for the food, drink and chemical sectors, and was appointed as Sales & Marketing Director in 1999 with overall responsibility for engineering and project management sales across the full range of process sectors.  Gerard joined Protel in 2001 to specialize in researching the food and drink sectors and now manages Protel’s team of in-house and freelance researchers.  Gerard also continues to maintain an active role in project intelligence gathering through his wide network of industry contacts.

Andrea Jackson - Andrea’s career within process industry began in 1985 when she joined Extract Technology, a supplier of containment systems for the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech markets.  Her work in assisting the Sales Director led her into a direct sales and intelligence gathering role, sourcing and tracking project information with existing and new clients.  Extract Technology became a Protel subscriber in 2001 and Andrea’s work included following up the project sales leads that they received.  In 2002 she joined Protel, becoming a highly successful member of its sales team, and subsequently moved into a research role focusing on food, drink, secondary pharmaceuticals and laboratories.  Andrea is an excellent communicator and networker and combines her research skills with a keen understanding of the key information required by project sales teams.

Alison Fenwick - After graduating with a degree in Biochemisty from Kings College, London University, Alison worked for several years in a leading molecular biology research laboratory. Following her desire for a more commercial role she moved into direct sales with a specialist genomics instrumentation supplier. From there her career developed into sales and business management and she has more years experience that she is prepared to discuss supplying laboratory capital equipment across Europe. After starting a family Alison then established a UK company delivering validation and maintenance on a wide range of laboratory instrumentation which has given her a further insight into a wide range of laboratory equipment and suppliers with special knowledge and contacts within the pharmaceutical sector. Alison joined Protel at the start of 2011 to further develop the laboratory side of our business and is enjoying the dynamic and innovative culture.

Ronan O’Brien – Ronan graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from the Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland. Ronan’s career began with Kentz Engineers & Constructors an Irish owned global engineering specialist solutions provider with over 10,000 employees and operating in 26 countries worldwide. He joined Kentz as a Marketing Executive for their Saudi Arabian operation, which mainly focused on the Oil & Gas industry. Clients included Fluor, Foster Wheeler, Bechtel & Linde.  After a short period he was promoted to the position of Business Development Manager for Kentz Ireland Limited. In this role, Ronan was responsible for sourcing, intelligence gathering and tracking project information with the goal of ultimately securing the company new construction projects. As a result Ronan has built up extensive client and contact relationships. Ronan joined Protel earlier this year to specialize in researching the waste and energy sectors.

Bojidar Dimitrov – Bojidar obtained a master in Journalism and communication from the Free University of Brussels (U.L.B). He has over 10 years experience in marketing, business intelligence and business development in various industrial sectors with special focus on chemical and petrochemicals. The project he was involved in covered mainly Western Europe, Scandinavia, Finland, Russia & the Baltic States, the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. He is currently assisting in developing Protel’s activity in the Benelux and France.
